All employees are registered under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. This means they have been independently assessed as having the necessary skills and training to work safely and effectively on a construction site.
We employ independent safety advisers who inspect our sites regularly.
Our training programmes and policies have been developed in line with the requirements of Investors in People for which we are accredited.
All of our mini piling rigs are guarded in accordance with the latest health and safely regulations.

We are insured for Employers Liability of up to £10 million and for Public Liability, Products Liability and Personal Injury, each up to £2 million. All design work supplied by us carries Professional Indemnity Insurance of £5 million.

NFS is also accredited to Investors In People, the national standard setting a level of good practice for training and development of people to achieve business goals. IIP accreditation is only achieved after a rigorous assessment and our success in meeting the standard recognises the priority we place on highly skilled and motivated staff. Investors in People helps employees become customer focused, enabling us to more effectively meet client needs.
NFS is CHAS accredited, which means that our health and safety competence has been assessed and approved as meeting a standard that has been accepted by a group of over 400 private and public sector organisations.
Constructionline is the Government’s national register for suppliers. In the same way CHAS offers a tool for use in the health and safety element of pre-qualification, Constructionline provide the pre-qualification tool for use in financial standing, technical references and other areas. The CHAS management group supports the principles of a single register and so works jointly with Constructionline.
